BLU-U® Blue Light Treatments for Moderate Acne

Many young adults deal with hard to control acne trouble. The BLU-U Treatment treats acne without the use of drugs or antibiotics. Using a blue light, BLU-U can kill the p. acnes bacteria in your skin, controlling your acne for a very long peroid of time.

What is acne and why is it so difficult to control?

To keep skin healthy, hundreds of tiny sebaceous glands just below the skins surface collect and excrete an oily substance called sebum. However, these tiny pathways for sebum to escape often become clogged and a bacteria called p. acnes begin to grow inside. This causes a pimple on the skin. This process becomes very active and difficult to control at certain times of life.

Can moderate acne be controled in a new way?

If your case of moderate acne has not responded to the many acne creams, washes and medications, maybe it's time to consider BLU-U.

What's the Blue Light Treatment and how does it work?

The BLU-U Blue Light is a new treatment available that kills the p. acnes bacteria in your skin without the use of medication. Treatments are simple, we will schedule a 15min session about once or twice per week. During your session you will sit with your face close to the light. Treatments may go on for about five weeks. BLU-U is a safe, pain free and long term solution to controling your acne.

Is BLU-U cleared by the FDA?

Yes, BLU-U was cleared by the FDA in 2003 for the treatment of moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris.
